There are a breadth of languages spoken in Equatorial Guinea. From French, to Spanish, to indigenous languages, there are a variety of influences on Equatorial Guinea's distinct dialect of Spanish. Most inhabitants of the region speak Spanish as a second language, so some very unique tendencies have come to surface. Sometimes, a "d" can sound like an "r", and an "r" sounds exactly like a "rr". An "s" is often strongly pronounced, but can occasionally be omitted altogether. Grammar can seem completely foreign, and "usted" is conjugated like "tú". Prepositions are interchanged without much thought, not altering any meaning. In Equatoguinean Spanish, "Antéose" means "I don't know". Also, "girl" means "tosa".
