Argentina

Spanish

Rioplatense, the area that covers most of Argentina and Uruguay, Spanish's trademark tendency is its "sh" pronunciation of "y" and "ll" sounds. As a result, "pollo" is pronounced very much like "posho". A lot of these attributes align with the Italian language, as it continues to have a huge influence in Argentina. In certain regions, syllables before accented letters are elongated and the pronoun "vos" is often utilized. The term "che" functions kind of like "dude", and "boludo" means something similar. "Chorro" means thief and "parlar" means "to talk". It is important to note, however, that many linguistic patterns in Argentina differ by socioeconomic classes.
